I’m here tell you that Ice Cube was right when he told you ” you better check yo self before you wreck yo self” but not in the dramatic foul crime kinda way… ( anyone see what I did there?? ) but in a mindset kinda way. Here’s the reality: negative attitudes = negative mind, negative mind= negative results, negative results= negative attitudes… see the vicious cycle appearing in front of you?
The only way to spot this rut of negativity is to make a conscious daily effort to not give in to it. When you have a toxic mindset, focused on negativity, self-degrading thoughts and destructive attitudes it will begin to modify your personality thus affecting your relationships, not to mention the toll it takes on your health. These days everything is so fast paced that it’s sometimes hard to recognize when your attitude is less than desirable but it’s important for your success. Even if it’s just five minutes a day of calm, it’s important to turn your life off and focus on nothing. Find something that helps you relax and do it every day! Maybe it’s yoga, meditation, journaling, reading a book or having a warm cup of tea. Whatever it is, make it a priority and enjoy it! If you stop enjoying it, change it up!
